She was extremely close with Elsa, but an accident during their childhoods prompted their parents to separate them from each other and the outside world. During the long years that followed, Anna tried repeatedly to spend time with Elsa but to no avail. This isolated existence was made complete by the sudden deaths of Agnarr and Iduna, leaving Anna to truly alone.
Elsa's Exact Coronation Twist
Oblivious to Elsa's reaction, Anna pleaded with her sister, saying that she could not stand living in isolation anymore. Though it pained her to say it, Elsa responded by suggesting that Anna leave the castle. Hurt and outraged by this statement, Anna confronted Elsa, wanting to know what she had done to deserve this treatment. Though Elsa insisted Anna remain quiet, Anna refused to relent and asked what it was that Elsa feared. On the dance floor, amidst his eccentric choice of dance maneuvers, the Duke tried to pry about Arendelle's secrets, wondering why its gates had been closed for so long.

After reaching safety, Anna's hair begins to turn white, and Kristoff deduces the cause to be Elsa's magic. Kristoff leads the gang to the Valley of the Living Rock, to seek aid from the trolls. Kristoff's adoptive mother, Bulda, assumes Anna to be her son's girlfriend; when the two deny any romance, Bulda and the trolls try to convince them otherwise, going as far as to set up a troll wedding.

As the snowman helped Anna to her feet, the blizzard's strength began to intensify, and ice spikes started to form in the castle, threatening to trap the pair within. The duo managed to escape from a window, but upon reaching the frozen fjord, Olaf was blown away by the winds, leaving Anna to traverse the icy landscape alone. Alone with Hans, Anna explained that she had been struck by Elsa's magic, elaborating that the magic had froze her heart and could only be remedied by an act of true love.
Anna's fears were confirmed when she had to intervene to save Elsa from falling off the clock tower. Informing her sister that the rest of the celebration would have to be postponed, Anna got Elsa to admit that she had a cold. Realizing the danger, Olaf volunteered to distract the snow monster to provide Anna and Kristoff enough time to escape. In an attempt to deter the creature, Anna grabbed the branch of a sagging tree, causing the tree to snap upright and knock their assailant back. But Anna and Kristoff had little time to celebrate, for they found themselves trapped at edge of a cliff.

Later, Elsa uses her magic to create a sparkling ice Christmas tree and decorates it with lanterns from the search party. Elsa looks around and thinks Arendelle has a new tradition, to which Anna agrees and thanks Olaf for the help. Three years later, Elsa had finally come of age and is ready to be crowned Queen of Arendelle. To celebrate the occasion, the windows, doors, and gates of the castle were opened for the first time in years. Foreign dignitaries are also invited to the festivities, with such kingdoms as the Southern Isles and Weselton sending representatives in honor of their countries. Suddenly, she bumps into a horse owned by the dashing Prince Hans of the Southern Isles.
An act of true love
At this, Pabbie revealed himself, stating that there was "strange magic" present. Looking into Anna's eyes, Pabbie gravely informed the princess that, unless removed, the ice in her heart would cause her to freeze into solid ice, forever. However, Pabbie sadly stated that if it was her head that would be easy, and informs them "only an act of true love" could thaw a frozen heart.

Pleasantly surprised, Kristoff failed to notice another wolf and was pulled off the sled, barely managing to grab hold of a rope attached to the sled. Thinking fast, Anna set a bundle ablaze and hurled it at the wolves that had started to assault the helpless Kristoff. Anna helped Kristoff back onto the sled, but the two had no time to catch their breaths, for they realized Sven was rapidly approaching a massive gorge. After Kristoff stated he did not "take people places", Anna threw a sack containing winter supplies at the ice harvester. Realizing Anna was setting up a business arrangement, Kristoff stated that they would leave in the morning and added that she forgot Sven's carrots.

With neither sister realizing the danger, Anna continues with her persistence, but Elsa remains firm on her decision and orders Anna to leave for her own safety. When Anna refuses, Elsa creates a hulking snowman to remove Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf from the palace. While halfway up the mountain, after escaping the pack of wolves, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven run into Hans, a prince from the Southern Isles who is on his way to find Elsa himself. Kristoff and Sven leave the group when Anna and Olaf allow the prince to join them on their quest.
Anna joins in the festivities and is touched by Elsa's vow to never close the gates again. Joined by Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven, the sisters indulge in a kingdom-wide celebration honoring their reunion and a new era for Arendelle. We are literally just four days away from the premiere of Frozen 2 in cinemas —we’ve only waited six years for this (not that we were counting or anything). The ice queen and her adorable sister won the hearts of girls and women worldwide back in 2013, and admittedly, we’ve been copying and recreating the Elsa braid ever since. The group joined the Northuldra and the Arendellian soldiers for some respite at the Norhtuldra's camp.
Anna is dragged onto the dance floor, where she is subjected to the Duke's over-the-top dance skills, much to Elsa's amusement. Afterwards, Anna and Elsa laugh about the matter, with Anna openly wishing their lives could always be carefree. She also assures Elsa that she hasn't ruined her birthday, but also states that taking care of Elsa is the "best birthday present ever". In the end, despite her flaws, Anna is an extremely sweet, selfless, and loving character. Numerous times throughout the film, she puts the safety and well-being of others before her own, showing great loyalty and admiration for her friends and family.
Another is "What Do You Know About Love?", a confrontational, and later romantic duet in which she and Kristoff question their differing views on love. Anna's first and only solo is "True Love", performed after Hans leaves her to die alone. The song is the dramatic, melancholy climax of Anna's emotional arc, where she reevaluates her tragic life while simultaneously accepting her oncoming death. This series of stories follows the adventures of Anna and Elsa after the events of the film.
When Kristoff asked how she is going to break this to Elsa, Anna says she has no idea what to tell her elder sister. In Olaf's Frozen Adventure, Anna wears her hair in a bun for the majority of the special but reverts to her standard braids when she and Elsa are leading the search for Olaf. Her attire is comprised of a sky blue dress with bells and goats patterned motif around the hemline, using the same fabric as the tablecloths in the ballroom. Children, mine included, have been singing the songs from Disney's Frozen for years now, but my daughter went a step above crooning the tunes over and over again — she wanted their updos.
